Frequently asked questions about hair care in general.
Hair has a lifespan, and once it reaches its limit it will fall out without you noticing it, maybe because you’ve shampooed or brushed your hair, or because of friction from your pillow while you sleep. It is said that we lose between 50 and 70 strands of hair a day.
If you brush or wash your hair for the first time in 2 or 3 days, you will lose about 200 strands of hair. It might feel like you are losing a lot, but this is normal.
Split ends happen when your cuticles are damaged and peel away, and the fibre inside your hair (the cortex) frays and breaks apart. This can happen when your hair lacks moisture, or when your hair is in a dry environment. The specific cause could be unnecessary brushing or blow drying at a high heat. It is not possible to heal split ends, but the right care can prevent split ends, and make them less obvious. Try and use a blow dryer with as strong an air stream as possible, and avoid using high temperatures on your hair for long periods of time. Also use a beauty essence treatment to coat your split ends to make them more manageable, and make hydration last. This will eliminate knots, and moisturise your hair to give it shine.
The temperature in your bathroom may exceed 60℃ while you are using your extractor fan.
Such high temperatures can cause products to soften or separate, or in the case of pump dispensers, may cause the air in the container to expand, making shampoo or body soap remaining in the tube or dispenser head leak out.
We recommend having all of your beauty products out of wet areas even while using your extractor fan.
Silicone makes your hair shiny, and so smooth you can run your fingers through it. Silicone also protects your hair. It is a very effective hair care ingredient. Because of this, a lot of products like conditioners and hair treatments contain silicone. Normal silicone washes out with shampoo, meaning it will not remain attached to your hair, and it won’t have a negative effect on dyed or permed hair.
We mainly release catalogues and samples for each new product or season, for a limited selection of products that we want to recommend at the time. Our sales staff distribute samples at retail outlets, so if there is a sample you would like to try, please visit your nearest stockist. There are limits to the type and amount of samples that a store will have, so please understand that customer requests may not be able to be met. Please use one of our in-store testers if a sample is not available.
Our foundation samples mainly come in between one colour (302) or 2 colours (302 and 301).
They are available for you to see if you like how they feel. If you are satisfied, you can match your colour using the in-store testers.
Partially-used aerosol products thrown out with household rubbish may rupture and cause a fire during rubbish collection or processing, and should be disposed of only when used up completely. If you want to throw away a partially used aerosol product, take it outside away from any naked flames and hold down the nozzle releasing the product until the sound stops. This releases all the gas, so you can dispose of according to local guidelines.
*If your aerosol product has a mechanism to release all remaining gas, use this mechanism just in case, even if you think you have used up all of the product, then dispose of according to local guidelines.
Your beauty products will expand inside the container in hot temperatures, which can cause the container to distort or rupture.
If your beauty product has been kept at an extremely high temperature at length, the product may separate, and the fragrance or colour may change.
Some aerosol products contain flammable gas at high pressures, and require particular caution. Exercise caution with beauty products containing a high concentration of alcohol such as hair tonic, nail polish, perfume and toner, as these will expand easily.
Before refilling, first rinse the pump and the container interior well with tap water, and then dry thoroughly.
Mixing with other products or water may compromise quality or cause hygiene issues, so make sure you use the container for the same product, after it’s rinsed and dried.
Some dry hair treatments are designed to be refilled without cleaning the container. In this case, please follow product instructions.

Even though they may look clean, with continued use the parts will deteriorate, and this may affect ease of use. In addition to if parts get dirty or break, we also recommend buying a completely new product about every 3 to 4 refills in order to maintain hygiene and ease of use.
Frequently asked questions about hair packs and conditioner.
Each product is rinsed out differently. Currently, most treatments contain cationic surfactants. These types of treatments can be well absorbed by the hair, so even if rinsed off after application they will still be effective.

Frequently asked questions about hair growth tonic.
Quasi-drug products and medicated products are located in between beauty products and pharmaceutical products, and contain a set concentration of an active ingredient verified to be effective for a specific purpose (preventing skin allergies, preventing acne, cleansing, sterilising or disinfecting the skin, preventing sun damage or encouraging hair growth).
Their purpose is solely prevention, and they are not a pharmaceutical product, so even if used continuously over the long term they will not cause any side effects.
They can be used with peace of mind as they are the same as beauty products in their method of use, purpose, and that they work gently on the body.
